How much would you pay for an extra 10 years of Life?
A recent survey by the Globe and Mail (Canada’s National Newspaper) found that people would pay an average of 50% of their net wealth to live an extra 10 years. 50%!
Think about your own situation for a moment, what is that number? $100K, $500K, $1M, or even more?
I haven’t tracked it to the dollar, but I have spent at least $25K, first healing myself and now optimizing my health.
It is not hard to find stats on how much it costs to be sick, with out-of-pocket treatments, expensive medications, not to mention the cost of assisted living if you have any form of dementia or sever autoimmunity. You are easily looking at hundreds of thousands of dollars or more. I witnessed that first hand with my wife’s grandparents.
I have never talked to anyone who wants to be a burden to their family or drain the resources they built over a lifetime of hard work.
Let’s be truthful here, while I personally plan to be a centenarian, it’s not about lifespan, its about health span.
