Quote I’m pondering:
“Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.”
— From Coraline by Neil Gaiman
This quote got me thinking about what dragons exist in our lives now. It could be any number of things for many people, some might include: trauma, poverty, homelessness, anxiety, poor relationships or health challenges.
I’ll focus on those health dragons for now. Maybe your dragon is poor sleep, high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, back pain, excess weight, cognitive decline or skin issues.
If you know my story, you know that I faced a few of those dragons. Not in a fairy tale, but in real life.
There was no shining knight for me, I busted my butt and worked hard to slay my dragons.
But wouldn’t you know, once I slayed those dragons, there were new dragons to slay. I am glad to share that these new dragons are smaller, more manageable and easier to slay.
Slaying your health dragon does not need to be an impossible fairy tale to you, it can be a reality like it has been for me.
Whether you recognize it or not, you have an inner strength to you, that all heroes have, and you can do it all yourself.
However, if you want an army behind you, the strongest armor and the sharpest sword, lets work together so you can slay your dragon quickly and once and for all.
