Being an entrepreneur is never easy. Changing careers to a completely different field is not easy. However, in the 4th quarter of 2019 and heading into 2020 I felt like all my hustle and grind was starting to pay off. In addition to some 1:1 clients, I had two contract coaching gigs and two new partnerships that were to begin in early 2020. I was really starting to think I was about to turn the corner on this entrepreneurship thing. Then BAM!….we all know what happened.
Through some overreach, poor leadership and misguided policies, places that “actually” promote health were forced to shut down. People were also spun into a fear frenzy. My two new partners went bankrupt before they ever re-opened and we got to work together. The two others managed to barely survive but are still not the same nearly three years later.
I learned a lot about people in general, but especially about my clients and their fears and financial struggles especially in that first year of covid.
Needless to say, 2020 did not turn out how I had anticipated from a business point of view. I entered both 2021 and 2022 with goals of increasing my impact on the world through coaching. I fell short of my goals both years.
So what is going to make 2023 any different?
Community and support!
I was arrogant and foolish to think I could do it on my own all these years. I have now immersed myself into a network of quality people who I want to help succeed and they want the same for me. I invested in the right coaches and mentors who will guide, support and challenge me to get out of my own way to success.
I have spent the last quarter of 2022 preparing for big things in 2023. I have up-leveled myself for success.
My mission is to make as big an impact in the world as I can, to positively affect at least 1 million lives.
I know that I will make a bigger impact in 2023 than I ever have before. That is guaranteed!
Purpose and mission, along with a sense of belonging and community are key factors in health and longevity.
I am building this for myself, my family and my community. I wish it for you as well in 2023!
